We visited for food last Saturday and really wanted to like it, as we like to support local businesses. It was busy in the restaurant part, and there were only three staff members to run both bars and waiting on - I dont know if thats normal or if they were short staffed. Our starters took well over half an hour to come, but they were nice when they came. There was another long wait for the plates to be cleared and then a very long wait for the mains (with no mention of this from staff). My seven year old, who hadnt had a starter, was absolutely starving. The food was nice when it finally came. Another long wait for the plates to be cleared, and then I had to catch the waitress to ask for dessert menus. After waiting 20 minutes for our order to be taken, we gave up, paid at the bar and went home. Wed been there for nearly two and a half hours, for two starters and four main courses. The slow service really spoiled the experience for us, unfortunately.
Great Leeds utd pub,great staff had a wake there,comfortable, warm,like pubs used to be.

Great food, great landlord and landlady, great staff and excellent selection of drinks. Need I say more. Try the steak night, Wednesdays.
