Easily the best chippy ive been to. the staff are so nice. and the food.....oh my. perfect. I'll never cook again.
Proper English chippy complete with range and mirrors. Excellent quality food but the one piece of constructive criticism is a lack of homemade style pies (Cmon guys, they'd go like hot cakes in whitworth.) Pleasant service, short wait and car parking immediately outside. Traditional style shop in a traditional Lancashire village. Not expensive and very good value and quality.

Simply the bestI rarely write reviews, I just read them. But I make an exception on this occasion. Just bought fish and chips to take away and they were delicious. The fish cooked fresh was bigger than a dinner plate. One small chips were at least big enough for 2 very hungry people. All freshly cooked to order. The owner Alfie Chippy and the staff cheery and chatty as allways. Such good service. Just go.
Use this chippy regularly and have had the majority of the menu at one point or another. The fish is fresh, and is cooked to order so you will never have a fish that has been sitting around.How many chippys do haggis and black pudding on the menu the rag pudding is to die for. Alfie makes a few things that he sells as well that go down well. Portions size are excellent and the pricing is reasonable. I have tried other chippy's in the area but this one is the best.
